Hamdi Salihi

Hamdi Salihi(full name: Hamdi Abdullah Salihiis) is a professional Albanian forward who plays for Albania national team and Austrian club Wiener Neustadt. Salihi can also play as a secondary striker. He is famous for being a prolific goalscorer both in Albania and Austria and is described as “The Bomber” by his former international coach. He can create chances for his teammates to shot and cooperate with teammates perfectly.

A hard-working and excellent player, Salihi has played for a few football clubs. He transferred to Chinese Super League side Jiangsu Suning Football Club on 3 February 2013 and scored his first goal for the club on 26 February. The club won the the 2013 Chinese FA Super Cup with the aid of Salihi. In July 2015, Salihi joined Skënderbeu Korçë based in Albania and played two seasons for the club. During his time in Korçë, he helped the club win Albanian Superliga in the 2015–16 season. Accordingly, Salihi was awarded Albanian Superliga Top Goalscorer in this season and Albanian Footballer of the Year in 2016 due to his good performances. On 30 June 2017, Salihi transferred to Austrian club Wiener Neustadt and scored a total of 13 goals in the 2017-18 Austrian Football First League.

Former Albanian Footballer Lorik Cana

The former Albanian Defensive and Central Midfielder Lorik Cana was appointed as the Grassroots ambassador for kids football in Albania. Throughout his whole football playing career, he played for Albania national football team and many football clubs like Paris Saint-Germain, Sunderland, Galatasaray, Lazio, FC Nantes and captained Olympique de Marseille.

From his first appearance to retirement, he played 93 football matches for the Albania national football team, creating new records in the times of appearances for Albania national football team more than the most capped footballer. Although he was taken as a Defensive and Central Midfielder, he was switched to Center-back in latter period. Having played in top divisions in France, England, Italy and Turkey, Lorik Cana was taken as the representative of both Paris Saint-Germain and Olypique De Marseille in the beginning of the football playing career. After his spell in Paris Saint-Germain and Olypique De Marseille, he transferred to Sunderland for £5 million on a four-year deal. Shortly after joining in Sunderland, he was appointed as the captain of the football team, leaving him the responsibility of a captain without formal declaration. In 2009, he was appointed as the captain of Sunderland officially.

Cana signed for Galatasaray for a €4.5 million transfer fee in July 2010, with about €2 million profits per season in average and add-ons. For the sake of his back injury, he did not make many contributions to the club, although he was still a favorite footballer for many football fans.

Ledian Memushaj

Ledian Memushaj was born in Vlorë, Albania on Dec. 7, 1986. Played as a professional midfielder of Italian club and the Albanian national football team. When he was 17 years old, he started his football playing career from Sarzanese in Italy. In 2011, he was loaned to Portogruaro on Jan. 29, 2011, after transfer to Chievo Verona of Serie A. After served for Chievo and Portogruaro, he also played for lecce, Carpi, Pescara and Benevento.

Valon Ahmedi

Valon Ahmedi was born in Ohrid, Republic of Macedonia on Oct. 7, 1994. He began his football career from Kastelbell when he was young. In 2011, he transferred to F.C. Südtirol for appreciation of the club’s scout. In 2014, Ahmedi reached a contract with NK Celje of Slovenian PrvaLiga. He was regarded as a significant footballer of the team, winning his first goal in a match against Krka. He took a three month leave for injury and missed opportunities of some competitions.

In 2016, he transferred to NK Maribor of Slovenian champions. He accomplished his first appearance in the 2015–16 Slovenian Cup semi-final game against Zavrč, taking the place of Dare Vršič in the 64th minute. Amir Abrashi

Amir Abrashi was born in Bischofszell, Switzerland on Mar. 27, 1990. In 2002, he started his football playing career from a hometown club at the age of 12. For impressive performances and dynamic energy on football fields, he accomplished the first appearance in a competition against GC Biaschesi. In 2010, he was loaned to Grasshopper Club Zürich for a year. After the expiration of load agreement, he was bought from Grasshopper for €600,000. In 2015, he transferred to German side SC Freiburg by a three-year contract.

In 2015, Amir Abrashi accomplished the first appearance with SC Freiburg. For distinguished performances as a player of Swiss youth national teams, accumulating over 40 appearances in total. Migjen Basha

Migjen Basha, a professional midfielder of Albania national football team, was born in Lausanne, Switzerland on Jan. 5, 1987. When he was young, he started learning football at amateur club Team Vaud. In 2004, he transferred to Lausanne, being a footballer of the first team. At the age of 18, he appeared in a competition as a professional football player for the first time. In the last half of 2005-06 season, he played for Lucchese in more than 10 competitions.

Besides football clubs referred above, he also has played for Viareggio, Rimini, Frosinone, Atalanta, Torino, Luzern and Bari. In 2010, Basha expressed his will to play for the Albania. Andi Lila

Andi Lila was born in Kavajë, Albania on Feb. 12, 1986. When he was 16 years old, he turned a regular member of the first team player of Besa Kavajë. Under his help, the Besa Kavajë won the third place in the Albanian Superliga prior to transfer to KF Tirana one year later. After served for the club, he transferred to the first team at PAS Giannina. In the 2014-15 season, he was loaned to Parma of Serie A. After the bankruptcy of Parma, he continued playing for his parent club PAS Giannina. Rare experience of club career was a critical factor for his distinguished characteristics, rich skills and great achievements.


Having paled for Albania at U17, U19, U21 and senior levels. For superb performances on football fields, he was chosen as a professional football player of Albania national football team by Otto Baric in 2007. In 2008, he accomplished his first appearance for the Albania national football team.
